Tokyo Sights (April 2014)

On this visit I took K to see the Ghibli clock which is right next to the Conrad:

We also went to the most awesomely named subway station, possibly in the entire world:

Which houses an enormous Gundam that moves and vents steam every hour.

We also headed to Omotesando for some shopping but gave up on the ultra-trendy Omotesando Koffee, the line was crazy.

Still, we went to my favourite Tokyo coffeeshop: Fuglen. I can't imagine Omotesando Koffee is much better.

Our final dinner of the trip was at this place. It is right next to Uobei sushi (my favourite place to defeat jetlag in Tokyo)

I spotted the window display during my last Tokyo trip and vowed to return.

I'm glad I did.

After dinner we headed to a Filipino karaoke dive bar. It is one of my absolute favourite places on earth. All I can tell you is that it is in an alleyway somewhere in Shinjuku. No matter what, every time I come to Tokyo, I end up here.
