Introducing the Britannic Explorer, A Belmond Train
Belmond, the operator of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and the Hiram Bingham are soon to launch the Britannic Explorer, the first ever luxury sleeper train in England and Wales. Its inaugural journey takes place in July 2025 and Belmond are now taking bookings for journeys up until November 2025.

For those desiring an longer excursion, there are 2 itineraries on offer which combine 2 of the shorter journeys into an extended railway adventure.

The Britannic Explorer - Cabin Categories
Designed by Albion Nord, each of the suites aboard the Britannic Explorer is at once sophisticated and playful, the earthy hues of the palettes having been chosen to create a link between the train and the landscapes it traverses. Combining lovingly-restored antiques with modern bespoke pieces, the interiors suffuse traditional craftsmanship with a modern chic that are both timeless and quintessentially British.
Twin Bed Suites
With a blue colour scheme inspired by Britain’s beautiful coastline, each of the twin suites features wall art signed by Luke Edward Hall.
They each feature an en suite bathroom with ceramic fittings.
During the day, the plush twin beds convert into banquette seating together with a fold-out table and stool.
Double Bed Suites
The Brittanic Explorer's Double Bed Suites are decorated in green to reflect Britain's verdant landscapes.
They each have an en sutie bathroom with a vanity unity and undermount basin.

Grand Suites
Each of the Britannic Explorer’s three named suites, Juniper, Elder & Valerian has a unique design which evokes the beauty of the English countryside. As the most spacious and luxurious suites on board, they each feature a plush double bed, a long-hanging wardrobe and a sofa with built in storage drawers.
Marble fittings are to be found in both the living area and the bathroom. Each of the Grand Suites comes with a personal butler service and is large enough to permit in-cabin dining should it be desired.
