REVIEW – Park Hyatt Sydney

The Park Hyatt Sydney isn't cheap. Even when using 10% discount codes on gift certificates, this hotel isn't even on nodding terms with cheap. However the Park Hyatt Sydney is worth every penny. The staff are aware of the fact that they have a hell of a reputation to live up, due in no small part to the hotel's location. They deal with this pressure with charm, competence and a true sense of what hospitality means. If you can, make sure you come here at least once in your life. If your budget won't permit a stay then consider going for breakfast, just to take in the fantastic view (and those omelettes!). You won't be disappointed. Park Hyatt Sydney. Believe the hype.

REVIEW – Novotel Century Hong Kong

As an Accor platinum, a stay here offers fantastic value. If you ask nicely and capacity permits, I'm sure you'll get one of the modern club rooms too. Even with the basic room, the club lounge and gym definitely make this a hotel I'd return to if I didn't want to splash out on a luxury hotel.

REVIEW – Sofitel So Bangkok

Overall this was one of my best ever hotel stays. The staff were a huge part of this. Despite this being a 5* hotel, the service managed to be proactive and friendly without any stuffiness or excess formality at all. The most formal people were those behind desks at reception downstairs and in the main lobby, even they would always grin and greet you with a a wai whenever you walked past.

REVIEW – Hyatt Regency [Now Grand Hyatt] Incheon (Korea)

I had been looking forward to this stay for a while. The pictures of the pool, with huge floor to ceiling windows, opening onto a snowy garden, looked fantastic. All reports and reviews that I had read indicated that this would be a cut above the usual airport hotel experience.
