REVIEW – The Lounges of LHR T3 – EK, CX and BA

We quickly checked in at the Qantas First Class area (which is also available to BA Club Europe passengers as well as OneWorld Emeralds) and the agent let us know that we were able to use not only the BA lounge but also the Emirates lounge, as a result of QFs partnership with Emirates. I wasn’t expecting this as previously this wasn’t the case for flights on QF metal.

REVIEW – Qantas: First Class – London to Dubai (A380)

When boarding was called for premium passengers, we headed straight to the desks. It was funny to see how the disparaging look on the desk agent's face immediately melted into a smile, when I produced the gold, Qantas emblazoned, wallet containing our boarding passes. "Good evening Mr Marcos, just follow the path straight down and head through the door on the left".

REVIEW – Park Hyatt Dubai

Overall, this was a superb stay. The hotel really went the extra mile with the upgrades and amenities, particularly given that I was back to Platinum status at the time of my stay. The grounds are meticulously maintained and there were no signs of wear and tear on anything at all. Given how close Dubai is to London I have a feeling we'll be making trips here something of a regular occurrence.
