REVIEW – Victory House London – MGallery Hotel

I was somewhat apprehensive about spending time in the touristy part of town but honestly the proximity to Leicester Square was largely incidental to us. Unless you are looking for moments of zen like calm in the evening, you could stay here and not be bothered whatsoever by the bright lights and loud groups on the streets below.

REVIEW – Ritz Carlton Mega Kuningan (Jakarta)

Given the dizzying array of luxury properties in Jakarta I was gripped by a real FOMO before this stay. I needn't have been. Although this hotel isn't the most modern in Jakarta (it isn't even the most modern of the two Ritz Carltons) it exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The concept of the room was executed fantastically. The gym was in the upper echelon of any I've ever encountered and the club lounge set a new high watermark for the quality and generosity of not only the food and drink but also the staff in its employ. I would recommend a stay here wholeheartedly and will be sure to return.

REVIEW – Conrad Tokyo : Revisited

There's a reason why I've been back here over ten times. This hotel just ticks so many boxes. The location is fantastic: you can reach Tsukiji fish market on foot and eat some of the best sushi on earth (the restaurants are still open even though the wholesale market has since moved). There are numerous different JR and Tokyo Metro stations nearby, you are super close to Haneda airport and Ginza is a short walk away - great not only for high-end shopping but also some surprisingly affordable restaurants...
