REVIEW: Concordia Lounge – Bali (DPS – Domestic)

  • Class: Third Party
  • Access:
    • Priority Pass (and various other credit cards)
    • Paid access £9

Intro

Our domestic flight from Bali to Komodo was on a plane featuring only Economy Class but thankfully we were able to access the Concordia lounge for free, thanks to the Priority Pass that comes with my UK Amex Platinum card.

I had previously enjoyed a visit to the Garuda Indonesia lounge in this domestic terminal but I had a pretty terrible experience in a third party lounge in the international terminal. So overall my expectations going into this visit were relatively low…

The Lounge

Stepping into the lounge I was very positively surprised. The design was fresh and modern with lots of cool artwork and recessed lighting.

The main room featured a decent amount of lounge style seating as well as being home to a very extensive buffet.

The buffet selection was legitimately better than most airlines’ own lounges, Garuda Indonesia included! I was particularly happy to see loads of fresh fruit and vegetables in addition to myriad local specialities.

The buffet was so extensive that it actually continued into a second room, featuring even more Indonesian favourites.

This second room had the feel of a food court in an Asian shopping mall with plenty of seating options: communal tables, bar stools, couples tables and even dining booths.

At the far end of the room was a family area with more casual seating as well as a foosball table and a freeplay candy cabinet featuring the all time classic: Metal Slug!

Finally, in case all of this wasn’t enough to keep us entertained, there was also an open plan massage spa, right by the coffee machine. Treatments were priced at a level that quite frankly makes no financial sense (much like the paid entry option to the lounge). £7 for a 1 hour back massage at an airport? Incredible!

Conclusion

This lounge was legitimately great. A ton of seating options, decent wifi, a superb selection of authentic Indonesian food and they even had Metal Slug to play on.

Far better than most airline Business Class lounges.

The Cordia lounge Bali is fairly new and disappointing April23. Not a lot of food choices, tea & coffee available, no alcohol. No departure information and even front desk not able to assist with departure info.
Sadly it is no comparison to the previous lounge of Priority Pass
