Intro Amman is a city with a decent number of upscale and luxury hotel options….many of which are agglomerated, Vegas style, around a single intersection. The Four Seasons is the original inhabitant of this hotel neighbourhood. The Four Seasons property has for a long time been considered the grande dame […]
Lizard Island offers a very unique experience to adventurous travellers who also enjoy a touch of luxury. The location, a private island on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, is basically unbeatable with no direct competitors of any kind.
Stopovers are no longer allowed on intra-South America awards effective immediately
This has been confirmed to me by multiple agents at Alaska and the rule is being strictly enforced, despite not being advertised on the Alaska website:
In stark contrast to Etihad's regional competitor Qatar, there was no separate priority bus for Business Class passengers, we were crammed in like weekday commuters on the Yamanote circle line, with temperatures outside north of 35 degrees. Thankfully, the aircon was working!
Still I cant deny it it, I do love bus gates when it's sunny and humid outside. There's an undeniable holiday feeling about the whole process when the weather cooperates.
Etihad's short haul product is great for a flight of this length. I was able to relax comfortably, enjoy some good drinks and chat with the relaxed and friendly crew. The food could use a little work, as could the IFE but otherwise this was a fantastic flight.
The seat was large and comfortable and featured both power and entertainment.
The crew were polite, friendly and efficient (if a little lacking in oenoligical knowledge).
The food was plentiful, healthy and delicious with a decent selection of drinks to accompany it.
If BA Club Europe was anything like this I wouldn't hesitate to pay the premium every time I fly!
