If you're only in town for a day or two, especially if this is your first visit, then perhaps you'd be better served by a property that has less to offer. Honestly a key 'problem' that we faced here is that we had to really drag ourselves away to explore the city. Any moment spent outside of the hotel seemed like a waste because being on property is just that good.

Four Seasons Geneva really surprised me. I had been expecting a rather stuffy and old fashioned hotel, the antithesis to the sleek and modern Four Seasons Bangkok. Instead, I found a property with impeccably maintained historical features, married perfectly with modern touches like bedside USB ports, hammam style steam showers, rooftop sushi and indeed a very young and enthusiastic staff.

REVIEW – Hilton Helsinki Airport

I arrived a little after midnight and walked the ten minutes or so from the HEL airport terminal to the hotel. The walk is mostly covered but there are a few stairs involved, unless you want to take a more circuitous routing. I waited until the morning to get decent light for the pictures in the public areas.

REVIEW – Hotel Indigo Helsinki

My stay at the Hotel Indigo Helsinki exceeded my expectations. The hotel felt very new and cool, without having the weird try hard feel of some Ws, I also love how small and cosy it felt. Truly a boutique feel, rather than the bland enormity of a regular chain stay. The staff were friendly, proactive and very helpful indeed.
