REVIEW – Frecciargento : First Class – Train – Florence to Venice [COVID-era]

Santa Maria Novella train station was almost unrecognisable when we entered. It honestly looks like the zombie apocalypse has hit and the military have taken over. The station has been sectioned off with barriers and arrows have been placed on the ground to ensure that passengers only walk in one direction. There are armed police on regular patrol and temperature monitoring stations set up to scan every passenger that boards a train...

REVIEW – British Airways : First Class Suites – B777 – London (LHR) to Malé (MLE) – [COVID-era]

I was curious to see the new First Class cabin in the flesh and when you compare it to the 14 seat cabins that previously graced the 777 this is clearly a superior product. The doors are actually the least exciting change in my mind. I can see the business logic for installing them but in reality they make little difference to the overall experience.

This isn't the kind of place the you turn up early to experience, although outstation lounges very rarely are. The food is the only truly premium aspect of Emirates' Gatwick lounge offering. What's strange is how easily some glaring errors could be fixed to radically transform the experience...
